PAINT PREPARATION GUIDE

Thank you for choosing SoCal Paints. In order to ensure your project goes as smoothly as possible and that our painters have full access to all of the necessary areas, please follow these preparation guidelines before your SoCal Paints team arrives.

If possible, move all heavy furniture at least 2 feet away from walls. Please let us know if you need assistance. Lighter furniture will be moved and reset by your SoCal Paints. All remaining items in the room will be covered with new plastic sheeting. Appliances will be addressed with each customer individually.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

It is our job to make sure clients feel comfortable with who is coming into their home. I personally evaluate and hire every painter on our crew. Their skills have been vetted, they have passed a detailed background check, and are fully insured and bonded. Because they are employees, I can set the standards for their job performance and behavior at your home. They are uniformed and report up to a crew leader for ongoing oversight. I would trust them in the homes of my family and friends.

Anyone can buy paint, but that is the easy part. From correct surface prep, using the right paint and sheen selection for the surface, selecting a quality paint product, down to proper application, our crews have the knowledge and experience to leave you with an attractive, lasting paint job.

Our relationship with Sherwin-Williams, Dunn Edwards, and Vista Paint offers you additional support, such as a color consultant to do on-site expert consultations and recommendations for colors that work best in each area. During your painting project our crew leader will be available if you have any issues and will do a walk-through of the completed project with you to be sure your expectations were met. We want you to be as confident in our work as we are, so we give you a written warranty should any issue arise after we are done.

Our goal is to make your painting project as seamless as possible. The crew is briefed before they come into your home about the details of your project, (i.e. site prep tasks, special furnishings, water source, where to park, pets or children to consider, etc.) We have a checklist and detailed notes from your quote that will inform the crew of any special needs or circumstances. Our crew leader will introduce himself, give you an overview of the day, and will be available if you have any questions. For your peace of mind, we have strict on-site policies to assure our crew is behaving appropriately and treating your home better than their own. Be aware at times, for you and the crew’s safety, there may be areas with limited access during the prep, painting, and the clean-up process.
Based on our years of experience, and our detailed processes we can determine almost exactly how much time your project should take to be completed. That is how we can give you a firm quote and hold our painters accountable for their time. So, unless there are unforeseen circumstances that we cannot plan for, you can safely assume your project will be completed on time and on budget as we agreed.
Yes! We make certain we protect our clients by carrying the appropriate coverages for general liability and workers compensation. Additionally, we are licensed by all state and local authorities and continually seek out industry recognized certifications and designations to add our client’s peace of mind.
